A little About me in the Whirlwind that is Life

I must admit my mind is a complete blank right now as to what to write on today. It is spinning in so many directions that I can’t settle on one more thing! This is sad. So, as a random post, let me tell you more about myself :

I am newly married – as of almost 9 months ago – to a man that i honestly didn’t ever think i’d meet. I had been waiting for him for so many years that I had begun to despair. But, through God’s hand – and mutual friends- we did meet and I couldn’t believe it. We were engaged for a year, remaining pure until marriage. We went through marriage counseling under his rabbi and wife and was it intense! whew. We had a messianic Jewish wedding that was simple and beautiful. We settled into a cute little – and i do mean little – house with a small yard. I am adjusting to living in town, as I grew up in the country. The sounds of cars, sirens and  neighbors is disconcerting for this country ‘bumpkin’ but it helps to be able to go back out to my parents’ house and hear the sounds of country – which include birds chirping, trees moving in the wind and my dog snarfling in the grass.

I have not worked since before the wedding, due to health reasons. It is strange not working full time to support myself but as I don’t seem to be getting any stronger or healthier. . . I appreciate the fact that my OH (other half for those of you who don’t know what that stands for!!) is understanding and doesn’t push me to work. 

Other facts about me : I am a devoted bookworm; I love classical, jazz and country music; my first car was a 1968 Volkswagen Beetle that i still have and drive (in good weather) ; my preferred choice of clothes is jeans, a comfy sweatshirt and tennis shoes but am starting to love the ‘girly’ side of clothes more and more ; I have curly red hair that bushes if not contained and cannot wait to own some land and start a little homestead. 

While this post didn’t have anything to help you make your life a little easier or teach you something new, i hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little more. And please, let me know what you’d like to read I am in the process of figuring out what i want to focus on here on this little spot of the internet that I am carving out.
